Jazz. Gumbo. Parades. Crawfish. Mardi Gras. Zydeco. It’s all here in New Orleans. Begin your GEOINT 2010 experience on Monday evening with the Taste of New Orleans Welcome Reception at Generations Hall.

Catered by local celebrity chef and Louisiana cuisine pioneer Chef Paul Prudhomme who also made a special appearance, the welcome reception featured the great food for which the Crescent City is famous.

And what would a taste of New Orleans be without music? A live Zydeco band entertained us throughout the evening of networking getting GEOINT 2010 off on the right note.

With three spacious rooms all boasting a different theme for the evening, Generations Hall provided a unique New Orleans atmosphere perfect for the GEOINT Symposium’s return to the city where it all began.

Originally built in the early 1820’s as a sugar refinery and decorated with artwork by prominent artists George Schmidt and Xavier deCallatay depicting the history of New Orleans jazz, Generations Hall offers a glimpse into a bygone era.
