GEOINT 2010 Breaks Attendance Records in New Orleans

Even after the change in venue from Nashville, Tenn., to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, this year’s conference broke attendance records. More than 4,000 participants had an exclusive opportunity to explore an exhibit hall of over 100,000 square feet featuring 220 exhibitor and sponsor organizations.

See you next year as GEOINT 2011 heads to San Antonio

GEOINT 2011 will head back to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, on October 16-19.

The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s (USGIF) staff returned to D.C. and is already planning for next year’s event.

USGIF Announces Jack Dangermond as 2010 Arthur C. Lundahl Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) announced on Thursday, Nov. 4, during a presentation at the GEOINT 2010 Symposium, Esri President Jack Dangermond as the 2010 recipient of the Arthur C. Lundahl Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Arthur C. Lundahl Lifetime Achievement Award, renamed this year from the USGIF Lifetime Achievement Award, is presented annually to someone who has dedicated their career to promoting the geospatial intelligence tradecraft.

Young Professionals Help the City of New Orleans During the GEOINT Symposium

Part of USGIF’s mission is to help improve upon each host city of the GEOINT Symposium. From this, the USGIF Young Professionals Group participated in a mapping service project in order to assist residents in New Orleans.

YPG’s were also treated to a special tour of the GEOINT 2010 exhibit hall with President Keith Masback.

What does GEOINT 2010's theme of Geospatial Intelligence 3.0 really mean?

In his most recent From the President column in Geospatial Intelligence Forum—the official publication of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation, USGIF President Keith Masback explains what Geospatial Intelligence 3.0 is all about.

Didn’t register in advance? Don’t worry, you can still register as an attendee, exhibitor or for the spouse tours when you arrive on-site at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

GEOINT 2010 On-Site Registration opens Sunday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m. outside of Exhibit Hall E.

NEW: Commercial SAR Familiarization Workshop

USGIF has just added to the agenda a USGIF Workshop on Commercial SAR Familiarization.

From 2:30 p.m. until about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, SAR experts from NGA and commercial providers will present a tutorial on Synthetic Aperture Radar.
